Reiki Healing
Inspired by Japanese Master Mikao Usui
For body & mind
Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction and relaxation technique that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on of hands" and is based on the idea that an invisible "life force energy" is flowing through us.
Reiki treats the whole person, including the body, emotions, mind and soul, producing many benefits which include a sense of peace, security and well-being.

The meaning of "Reiki"
REI is translated as soul, spirit, conscience.
It designates the aspect of celestial energy, subtle and invisible, the influence or energy of life which is animated in the Cosmos, or again, the spiritual and psychic energy, the divine part of the human being of essentially luminous nature.
Ki translates as vapor, fluid, breath or energy, internal energy, internal force. It is a Japanese concept of life energy, identical to the Chi (qi) of Chinese martial arts.
Ki is present in all manifestations of nature. The human body absorbs Ki from the universe primarily through breathing, food, and sunlight. Inside the body, it circulates in the meridians and is concentrated in the Seika tanden, seat of the "Mushin" (Japan), or in the dan tian (China), center of energies located through 4 fingers below the navel . Here is housed the original or ancestral Ki that each individual receives at the time of conception and which should be preserved through appropriate exercises.
The origin of Reiki
Reiki Ryoho, named in Japan "Shin Shin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho", "Usui Reiki Healing Art for Improving Mind and Body", trademark registered by Gakkai of Japan, the organization founded in 1922 by the Founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui sensei, was conceived at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Mikao Usui Sensei was a secular man, of Buddhist and Shinto origin, well educated in many aspects of Far Eastern traditions and their commonalities, as well as Eastern and modern medicines and therapies. It finds its origin in Japanese Buddhism, not in its religious context, but in its philosophical context, Shintoism (Usui Sensei has integrated into its system simplified techniques of purification of Shinto), the Japanese concept of vital energy, identical to that martial arts and Japanese folk medicine.
